Events Planning FAQs

CAN WE USE OUR OWN SUPPLIERS?

You are able to bring in suppliers of your choice providing they meet our health and safety requirements in advance. We don’t however allow external catering companies to cater at the venue. We have a list of trusted suppliers that we can recommend to you for AV, photography, music, flowers etc.

WHAT AV FACILITIES DO YOU HAVE?

We have an in-house PA system that can be used in the Great Hall, Cloisters, Courtyard and Parlour. This can be used for speeches and to play background music. Please contact the team if you have any additional AV requirements (screen, projector, lighting, filming etc.) and we can send you a brochure and price list for our trusted supplier.

DO YOU HAVE A LATE LICENSE?

License extensions are possible and are charged at £450+vat per hour. Our standard venue hire for day events gives access from 07:00am and evening events give access until midnight. We also have an early access option and overnight set-up is possible, charges apply.

DO YOU HAVE CLOAKROOM FACILITIES?

Yes we do! We have a built in cloakroom which will be manned by a member of the Merchant Taylors’ Hall staff, this is included in the venue hire.

DO YOU HAVE WIFI AVAILABLE FOR GUESTS?

We do have WIFI and this is offered complimentary to all guests.

WHAT ARE YOUR NOISE RESTRICTIONS?

We do not have any noise restrictions.
